Mike Fougere
Bass Guitar | Vocals
Mike brings over 20 years of professional playing to Halifax Pier as the bassist for both the multiple ECMA Award winning and Juno nominated band ICU and most recently, Clam Chowder, one of Halifax’s most popular bands for the past decade.
He has been seen recently on stage filling in with amazing Halifax bands such as Shaydid and Donair Supply as well as Paul Lamb and Cory Tetford. Mike’s infectious love of music can be seen every time he hits the stage.
Glen MacIsaac
Lead Guitar | Vocals
Glen MacIsaac has been playing on the east coast music scene for almost 20 years and is recognized as one of the top lead guitar players in Atlantic Canada.
A founding member of the popular local bands Highland Heights, Rant and a session musician, Glen has played pretty much every venue in Eastern Canada.
A 4 time ECMA and 2 time Music Nova Scotia nominee and winner as both a musician and producer as well as a post secondary music educator, Glen is known as much for his incredible catalogue of songs as he is for his musical abilities.
Whether on stage playing with some of your favourite bands or in the recording studio , Glen always brings a passion to his performances that is second to none.
Derek Bellefontaine
Drums
Derek has been performing many styles of music professionally for almost 30 years.
His music career started at a young age, playing Halifax clubs and then touring professionally around the Maritimes and Central Canada with many different musical acts. In his twenties, Derek re-located to Toronto to study jazz at Humber College under the likes of Roger Flock, jazz great Don Vickery, Vito Rezza and rock/fusion drumming legend Paul DeLong. While in Toronto he had the opportunity to do a variety of live performance session work, studio sessions for; Much Music, A & E Television, Bravo, and various radio music spot in the U.S., as well as touring with acts such as Legends Alive and Classic Albums Live.
In 2001, Derek moved back to Halifax and continues playing with such bands as Blueberry Grunt, Clam Chowder, Gravity, Paul Lamb and Wreckhouse and Halifax Pier.
Wendy MacIsaac
Fiddle & Piano
Wendy MacIsaac is a renowned award winning fiddler from Cape Breton who has been playing music for over 30 years. She is recognized as one of the “old school” style of players who has kept the traditional sound going and has a deep respect for it.
Wendy is also a sought after piano accompanist and step dancer. Besides performing as a solo artist, Wendy tours with Mary Jane Lamond .
Wendy can also be seen performing with Heather Rankin and occasionally Beolach who she toured with for 11 years.
Wendy is in high demand for her skills at teaching the Cape Breton style of fiddling. She travels throughout North America and overseas as well as teaching from her home in Halifax.
